When I think about my time at Flawless, the first words that come to mind are gratitude and growth. From my very first day, I knew this was more than just a place to work, it was a space to learn, to connect, and to truly make a difference.
One of the most impactful things about being part of Flawless is the endless opportunity to learn. Whether it’s researching to be competent when facilitating a NAMI workshop, speaking and listening at multiple of Mental Health America’s national conferences, or interviewing experts in the mental health field for one of our Flawless Talks, every experience has been a chance to expand my perspective. These aren’t just check-the-box activities. They are powerful, hands-on moments that help us better understand the world we serve, the people we serve it with, and truly help to change the way this word perceives brain health challenges.

Flawless has given the opportunity to grow in ways I didn’t imagine. I started as a college intern way back in 2019 fresh off of finishing up my senior football season at Columbia and was eager to put down the cleats and dive into a new world: the mental health and wellness field. That experience eventually turned into becoming a Flawless Fellow, and then now an Assistant Director, where I have been able to train interns that stand in shoes I once wore as beginners at Flawless. This full-circle moment is a reflection of the trust, mentorship, and encouragement that Flawless pours into its people.
And the truth is, once you’re part of Flawless, you’re always part of Flawless, which coined the term of us being a Flawless Family. I’ve had the privilege to come back in new roles, and I’ve seen others return in different capacities too whether as staff, as board members, or simply as helping hands for a workshop or an interview. No matter how much time passes, the Flawless love always remains.
As I reflect on my journey, I am filled with gratitude for every workshop, every conversation, and every moment of growth. Flawless is more than an organization, it’s momentum towards a more Flawless World, and I am honored to be a part of it. One thing to always remember is #YouAreFlawless!
