While Black History Month may be nearing its end, we know that Black history continues to be made every day. In our Black Changemakers Feature, we recognize the leaders within our Flawless Family who are changing the world with all of their thought leadership. Below are the #FlawlessTalks that our Fellow Tre has conducted with these inspiring changemakers.
Our first thought leader is Dr. Ajita Robinson, who is the CEO of Legacy Wellness Group, founder & executive director of Friends in Transition Counseling Services, an author, and transformational speaker. Dr. Robinson’s expertise in mental health was on full display in our Flawless Talk with her discussion on mental health, intergenerational trauma, and racial justice.
Dr. Kojo Sarfo is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, entrepreneur, author, and Flawless Board Member. When he’s not excelling in his day job he is influencing millions of people with his positivity and relatable TikToks. Check out our Flawless Talk with Dr. Sarfo surrounding racial justice, mental health tips, and self-care strategies.
Dr. Dawn DeCosta is the principal of Thurgood Marshall Academy Lower School in Harlem, a groundbreaking elementary school where we hosted one of our Flawless Workshops. Learn about how Dr. DeCosta has helped her students adapt to learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, mental health tips, and more during this Flawless interview.
Malcolm Norman is a senior student studying pre-med at New York University. He recently interned with our friends at Think:Kids, and has career aspirations of being a psychiatrist, a field where only 2% of individuals are Black. Check out Malcolm’s thoughts on racial justice, mental health, and being a college student during a pandemic.
Ife Lenard serves as The Meeting House’s Director for The Thurgood Marshall Academy Lower School (TMALS) Program. She is also an independent Strategic Coach to school leaders and a Graduate School Professor at Columbia University. Tune into this conversation where Ife breaks down systemic racism, provides mental health tips, and explains how we all can make change.
Bernadette Pleasant’s Flawless Talk is not to be missed. Bernadette is a Somatic Healer and the creator of The Emotional Institute LLC. She brought her expertise along with her when she joined us at our Flawless Workshop with the students at TMALS in NYC. Tre sat down with Bernadette after that workshop to discuss her opinion on self care, mental health, awareness months, and more. Check out her wisdom here
