This year on Veterans Day, our Flawless duo Jalyn and Janine paid a visit to the local VA Medical Center in Florida to spread much needed Flawless love to our United States heroes. Upon our arrival we were surprised to find that the halls we expected to be bustling with visitors and volunteers to commemorate this day, were instead darkened due to the closure of the facility in observance of the federal Holiday. This discovery however, did not deter us from completing our mission, it instead brought a whole new light to many of the friends we encountered that they could not have anticipated.
The incredible security staff at the entrance of the facility, also veterans themselves, graciously pointed us in the direction of areas of the hospital that could use a bit of Flawless Magic. We shared gifts and sweet treats with the Veterans who were there for appointments and were touched not only by their gratitude but also the stories they shared with us. We adorned the vacant visitors station with kind words of thanks, encouragement, and love in the form of flawless sticky notes for those we did not have the pleasure of meeting.
The hours of fellowship that we spent amongst these brave and kind spirits brought a new found appreciation for those who have sacrificed so much for us to be able to live freely and do the work that we do. We are looking forward to more visits with these inspiring heroes.
